...when it's Martin Luther King day,
a vacation day from work and
you have a head cold.

What you do is:

Snap pics of fast opening amaryllis blooms
Listen to presidential inaugural address
Figure out how to set up Overdrive so you can download books directly from the library
Eat butternut squash laced with quinoa and pears
Drink lots of lemon laced water

...did all these things while sneezing and depleting a Kleenex box -
Amazing multi-task feat!!!

January 20 - Something you saw

Saw this when I was looking for

It was hanging in my hallway
A watercolor I did in 1985.
Good grief-- that was a long time ago!

January 19 - Delicious

DELICIOUS started early today (last nite before bed)!
Cheddar cheese moon!
Then this morning in my kitchen,
this delicious amaryllis beauty greeted me.

until I got to the Griffith's wonderfully delicious chili extravaganza

SURPRISE!!!!! Finally got a day of gloriously clean air and beautifully blue sky!!!

January 11 - Water

I saw from my windows throughout the day.
So glad I had the option of being home today!

January 10 - one o'clock

From our office window at one o'clock,

we saw clouds that helped to washed away a nasty inversion. 

Later in the day the same clouds brought icy snowy roads.

It took 5 tire spinning tries to get up and over the first hill to my house.

With all the sliding around, I'm feeling grateful we didn't slide into another car.

It only took a couple of hours to get rid of the jello feeling.

January 8 - Something beginng with "T"

Time for tea.
When it's cold
or when dairy, sugar or juice drinks
cause problems!
Yeah!!!

January 7 - Street

This smoggy view of North Temple looks like it goes on forever. Today I traveled a block on it as usual to get to work. After work I traveled a few blocks west on it on my way to Kennedy's piano lesson and a delicious crepe manicotti dinner created in the amazingly remodeled Griffith kitchen. Also got to see the tiniest chicken eggs ever. They weren't on N Temple but in Mary's hand! Enjoyable time with family after a short trip on N Temple!

January 6 - Mine

Mine are the memories 
of Megan's birth 10 years ago. 

 Happy Birthday Megan! 

And then mine are the memories 
of the pinkies up tea party 

and making girls beautiful nite this last summer. 

Megan is highlighted since its her BD!
