Spruces Adventure

How Many Does It Take
To Have Fun??

How many does it take to feed the varmants (Pot Guts)?
At least 7 or 8!!!

It took 3 to load the BB Guns.
(Jaron, Colin & Parker)

Colin, Gabby & Megan
had fun on a hike & found a woodpecker
-- he wasn't alive though.
Parker is a good marksman.
Then fun on the bikes & scooters.
Mitchell, Jared, Gabby, Jordan, Colin.

Fun by the stream. Aunt Hilary, Colin & Grandma R.
Of course - lots of wild flowers.

Jared is another good marksman.

More fun by the stream.
I think we found some
funny bunnies.

Tea Party At Grandma's

A Tea Party In July

Megan likes to draw at tea parties too.

Looks like Meagan...
...don't you think?

Tea Party

A Tea Party is a favorite about any time.
Be careful it might be hot!!

I'm having orange tea this time.

Ashton thinks the B-crumpets are delicious(M&M's).
Could you please pass the tea Keegan asks?
Do you want me to pour you some more?

What a fun party?
Can we help dry the cups Grandma?
Thanks Ashton & Keegan for coming to the tea party!!

Zucchini Ideas

Idea # 1
When making zucchini bread, substitute pinto beans for part of the oil (to make it a little more healthy). If the recipe calls for 1 cup oil, fill the cup with cooked drained pinto beans, pour oil into cup to fill in between the beans, then blend in blender until smooth. Follow your choice of recipes using the oil/bean blend. Enjoy!!

Idea #2
Easy & Yummy Creamy Zuk Soup
1 medium onion - chopped
Medium/Large Zucchini - cut in chunks
1-2 cups chicken brooth (enough to simmer vegi's in)

Simmer all until vegi's are cooked.
Pour all into a blender & blend until smooth.
Add a little grated Jalepeno cheeze if desired.
Yum!!!

Idea #3
If all else fails have a Zucchini Derby. Pikes market in Seattle has hosted them in the fall for years!!

In our neighborhood, we improvise ramps and mobilize zucchini in the fall too. We have award winning derby designs!! The creativity juices take care of those excess zucchini and it is good family fun !!!

Fairy Feathers

To Begin With…

FAIRY FEATHERS

What are they?

To find out I consulted the Fairy Feather Dictionary. It said: “Fairy Feathers, noun Anything you want to go on forever & ever; secret acts of kindness (most likely done by fairies); anything that makes you smile or have a warm feeling inside; happiness, joy.”

Hmm… for me that would be the sunset I can see out the window right now, corn on the cob & tomatoes picked ripe from the vine, grand babies retrieving treats from the secret place in my kitchen, a comfy bed…

…good friends,

baroque music,

one year old downing a first sucker,

tea party at Elizabeth’s with my boys,

scriptures & good books,

tea parties with grandbabies

— where M&M’s become B-crumpets

& tea (water) comes out of the pot any flavor you want,

4th of July fairy feathers,

walks in the cool nite air, Les Miserables,

dog paddle races at Quail Brook pool,

Fairy Feathers at Grandmas pool

Fairy Feathers at Grandmas pool

Dickens BBC movies,

flowers and …. I’ll have to finish this later –

–there’s fairy dust in my eyes.

Love to all and good nite.

PS: Add to the above “Fairy Feather” list if you’d like. Wow — was that a fairy fe……zzzzz…z…zzzz.
